Orihuela Costa residents can now report public maintenance problems online, in English
A new website from Orihuela Town Hall makes it easier than ever to flag maintenance issues in the local area

Orihuela Town Hall has launched a new website designed to make it much easier for residents and property owners in Orihuela Costa to report problems with roads and public spaces in their area.
The service, run through municipal company Ecoplan Servicios, is available in English, German, French and Spanish, making it accessible to the area's large expat community.
The process has been kept as simple as possible. Users just need to take a photo of the problem, mark the location on a map and send the notification, all of which can be done in seconds from a mobile phone or computer.
The aim, according to the Ecoplan Servicios website, is to open up clearer lines of communication between the public and the maintenance team, with faster response times and better monitoring of reported issues as a result.
The kinds of problems that can be reported cover a wide range of everyday concerns, including potholes, damaged footpaths and kerbs, faded road markings, missing or damaged street signs, beach equipment and walkways, bike lanes and public parking areas.
Ecoplan Servicios is the company responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of public spaces and roads along the coast, and describes its mission as providing a clean, safe and functional environment for everyone who lives in, visits or enjoys Orihuela Costa.
The company says it works continuously to improve quality of life in the area, backed by a growing team, ongoing investment and close cooperation with local government.
For residents who have spent years navigating crumbling kerbs and long waits for repairs, this new tool is a welcome step in the right direction.
