September 26 Zenia Boulevard celebrates 14 years with free events and a huge party
The Orihuela Costa shopping centre is marking its anniversary with a month of events culminating in a Non-stop Party on September 26
Zenia Boulevard Commercial Centre is celebrating its 14th anniversary this September, with a month of free events, entertainment and prizes planned for visitors.
The Orihuela Costa shopping centre has welcomed millions of residents and tourists since opening, becoming much more than a place to shop. Its restaurants, leisure spaces and event areas have also made it a popular meeting point on the Costa Blanca.
The celebrations, running under the slogan ‘14 years of history, 14 years with you’, include live performances, family activities and a major party at the end of the month.
Culture will get the celebrations underway on September 12, when the Plaza Mayor hosts a free Sunset Ballet Gala.
The outdoor performance will bring together classical, neoclassical and contemporary ballet, including pieces from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker. Professional dancers and young talent from the Region of Murcia will take part, alongside special guest José Antonio Robles.
Families will have plenty to enjoy too, with Zimbo and Peludo, Zenia Boulevard's children's mascots, celebrating their birthday. The event will feature games, music, dancing, entertainment and activities for children, including a family gymkhana with eight challenges.
The afternoon will finish with a meet and greet, giving children the chance to meet the mascots and take photos with them.
The main anniversary celebration will arrive on September 26 with the Non-stop Party, turning Zenia Boulevard into a giant outdoor celebration.
DJ Nono and his dancers will provide the music, with a travelling brass band, stilt walkers, glitter make-up, gifts, special promotions, entertainment and plenty of confetti also planned. There'll also be special effects and activities taking place throughout the afternoon.
Visitors can also get involved in a special ‘scratch and win’ promotion running from September 12 to 27. Customers spending at least €50 will be able to take part, with prizes including Zenia Boulevard gift cards, special 14th anniversary mugs and drinks at participating businesses.
The promotion gives shoppers another reason to join in the anniversary celebrations and marks 14 years since the centre first opened its doors on the Costa Blanca.
