Red flags on these Murcia beaches today: NO swimming allowed
Going in the sea has been prohibited on these beaches this Tuesday
This Tuesday July 8, the beach surveillance posts at several beaches in Cartagena, San Javier and La Union have raised the red flag to show that swimming conditions are dangerous and no bathing is allowed.
Specifically, the beach surveillance posts of the Plan Copla have raised red flags on the beaches of Monteblanco, Galúa, Las Sirenas, Entremares and Levante beach in Cabo de Palos, in Cartagena; as well as on the beach of La Bahía in Portmán, in La Unión.
The red flag has also been raised on the beaches of Banco del Tabal (south, centre and north), Pedrucho (south and north) and Arenal, in the municipality of San Javier.
At the same time, there is a yellow flag on the beaches of Matalentisco in Águilas; as well as on the beaches of El Estacio (south and north) and Ensenada del Esparto (south, centre and north), in San Javier.
The yellow flag is also flying at the beaches of Barraca Quemada, Las Salinas, El Mojón, Punta de Algas and Torre Derribada, in San Pedro del Pinatar.
For safe bathing, the 112 emergency services recommend choosing a beach with a lifeguard service and to keep an eye on children, according to sources from the Emergency Coordination Centre.
They also advise people to be attentive to the possible change in the state of the sea and the colour of the flags, as well as the indications of the lifeguards.
