Murcia weekend weather forecast March 5-8: The rainstorms and wind refuse to let up
More wet weather in store for this weekend, accompanied by some blowy periods and a couple of large thunderstorms

Murcia weather forecast, Friday March 6
This weekend in the Region of Murcia is forecast by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) to be very wet and stormy, with cooler temperatures and more strong winds. Brace yourselves!
Thursday March 5
Murcia weather forecast, Thursday March 5For Thursday, Aemet predicts “very cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall, more likely and intense in the northeastern half, where it may be accompanied by storms”.
They also note the possibility of “low cloud cover with probable morning mist” and “light northwesterly winds, with moderate intervals”.
Friday March 6
Murcia weather warnings, Friday March 6On Friday, the coast of Murcia is once again back on yellow alert for 50-60kmh winds and waves reaching up to 3 metres high for the entire second half of the day, from noon onwards.
It will also be raining virtually non-stop on Friday, with powerful thunderstorms lighting up the sky.
Saturday March 7
Murcia weather forecast, Saturday March 7For Saturday, Aemet forecasts the wind to have died down to “light and variable, southerly along the coast,” and the thunderstorms to have downgraded to “cloudy skies with a chance of occasional light rain”.
Still pretty grey and drizzly overall, though, with “temperatures slightly down” and even some “light frost in the northwest,” up in the mountainous countryside near the Albacete border.
Sunday March 8
Murcia weather forecast, Sunday March 8More thunder and lightning is forecast for Sunday afternoon, however, though there should also be a dry morning and evening.
In the following days, temperatures will climb ever so slightly up again and the rainclouds will tend not to be too dark or menacing, but it will still not be the nice, warm, sunny weather we all love about Murcia. That will have to wait.
