One of the best musical films and stage shows ever comes to the Mar de Papeles festival in Mazarrón

As part of the 2025 Mares de Papel season of concerts and other events in Mazarrón and Puerto de Mazarrón the “Gran Show del Rey León”, the Lion King Show, is being performed on Thursday 14^th August at the sports complex between the two towns (click for map).

The show begins at 22.00 with tickets available online here at 8 euros + costs, or without costs in advance at the Oasis de las Palmeras in Bolnuevo and La Plaza Café Bar in Mazarrón. Any additional tickets will be available on the gate.

It goes without saying that The Lion King is one of the most successful musicals ever, featuring music by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice: the film won two Oscars and the stage version won 6 Tonys. This production features 26 performers including singers, dancers and musicians, and is regarded as the best in Spain behind only the stage show in Madrid.
