Yellow alerts issued across Andalucía for rain, waves and wind this Wednesday
Weather warnings activate this afternoon across four coastal areas as changeable weather returns
Andalucía wind speeds for Wednesday afternoonAfter a start to the week with clear skies, rain returns to Andalucía this Wednesday with a yellow alert for precipitation in Cádiz, as well as warnings for high waves on the Mediterranean coast and winds in Almería.
Residents along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts of Andalucia should keep an eye on the weather this afternoon as yellow alerts come into force for rain, high waves and strong winds.
According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) the rainfall warnings will cover the regions of Grazalema and Estrecho from 3pm until the end of the day. Accumulated rainfall could reach 15 litres per square metre in one hour or 40 litres over 12 hours.
Yellow alerts across AndalucíaA yellow alert for coastal phenomena has also been activated in the Axarquía region of Málaga, with west and northwest winds at intervals of 50 to 60km/h (force 7) and waves of two to three metres. These warnings extend to the Almería east coast, the west coast and Almería city, rom 6pm until the end of the day for maximum gusts up to 70km/h with westerly winds, and will also be active on the Granada coast and Axarquía until the end of the day with west and southwest winds of 50 to 60km/h (force 7) and waves of three metres.
