Wet and windy Easter across Spain: Weather forecast April 14-17
After a chilly start to the week, the temperatures should start to climb throughout Spain

Weather outlook on Wednesday April 16
Anyone planning to get out and about to enjoy the Easter celebrations will need to carry an umbrella as Spain is bracing for another week of overcast skies, cooler temperatures and the return of driving rain to many parts of the country.
The unsettled conditions we’ve been experiencing for the last few weeks will unfortunately persist all week and every corner of the country can expect some rain or showers. The western half of the country will again bear the brunt, although eastern regions and the Canary and Balearic Islands won’t be completely spared.

Weather outlook on Monday April 14
The week kicks off with increasing winds and a noticeable drop in temperatures on Monday April 14, especially in the north and inland. These changes are driven by a series of Atlantic storm systems, which will hit Galicia and Portugal first before sweeping eastwards.
Rainfall will become more widespread on Monday afternoon and another wet front is expected midweek, potentially bringing thunderstorms. Between Tuesday April 15 and Wednesday April 16, colder air will move in, dropping snow levels to around 900 metres in the north and pushing daytime highs below 10°C in some inland areas. Overnight lows may even dip close to freezing.

Weather outlook on Tuesday April 15
Thursday April 17 should bring a brief lull with clearer skies, but more rain is on the horizon from late in the afternoon into the weekend, especially in the west. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are likely to pop up in many inland areas.

Weather outlook on Thursday April 17
Despite the chill early on in the week, spring-like warmth is expected to return by the weekend. However, strong gusts of more than 60 km/h along the northwest and southern coasts could still make things feel colder at times.
