New Caser insurance offers personalised recovery support for over-65s after an accident
Caser MiRecuperación combines insurance cover with the specialist care provided by Caser Residencial, helping older customers access practical support during their recovery

An accident can change your routine in a matter of minutes. A fracture, serious burn or sudden loss of mobility can mean needing help with everyday tasks, rehabilitation or simply having someone around while you recover.
For people aged over 65, Helvetia Caser has introduced a new insurance product designed to provide that support when it’s needed most.
Caser MiRecuperación goes beyond traditional accident insurance by turning the financial compensation from a claim into a personalised recovery plan. The aim is to make sure customers have access to appropriate care rather than simply receiving a payment and being left to arrange everything themselves.
Available to people aged between 65 and 80 who live in areas close to a Caser Residencial centre, the policy provides support following certain accidents that result in a fracture, functional loss or a burn of up to third degree.
Once an accident occurs, the customer can contact Caser and provide their medical report. Their situation is then assessed within 24 hours, allowing the insurer to calculate the compensation available.
Caser Residencial then converts that amount into care hours and creates a recovery plan based on the individual's circumstances and what they need to get back on their feet.
Depending on the situation, this could include physiotherapy and rehabilitation, help with everyday activities at home, overnight companionship or supervision. Temporary stays in a Caser Residencial centre can also be arranged where residential care is more appropriate.
This means support doesn't necessarily involve leaving home. For someone who can recover comfortably in familiar surroundings with some additional assistance, care can be provided there. For others, a temporary stay in a specialist residential centre may be a better option.
The service draws on the experience of Caser Residencial, which has a network of 27 centres specialising in senior care. Its involvement gives the insurance product access to specialist knowledge and professional care services throughout the recovery process.
Caser MiRecuperación is being offered through Caser's network of agents and is part of Helvetia Caser's wider focus on developing services aimed specifically at the needs of older customers.
For families, having access to professional support can also take some of the pressure off when an accident suddenly changes someone's care needs. Rather than having to work out what help is available while dealing with the aftermath of an injury, the recovery plan is designed around the individual situation.
As Caser puts it, accidents can't always be prevented, but having the right support can make dealing with the consequences a little easier.
