Mojácar's Guateque dance party, organised by Larios Music, takes over Plaza Nueva this Sunday August 16 at 10pm, offering a night of music and dancing as part of the town's busy summer programme.

 

The party follows a run of cultural events that have already taken place throughout August, including the dance performance Forgotten Memories on the seafront promenade, the Active Circus in Plaza Nueva and the flamenco show From Camarón to Michael Jackson featuring Guillermo Fernández.

 

On August 15, the day before the dance party, families can also catch the children's play Chef Pipa, performed by the Coma14 company in Plaza del Arbollón.

 

The celebrations don't stop there either. A Literary Scavenger Hunt takes place in Mojácar Pueblo on August 18, with prior registration required, followed by one of the summer's biggest events, the White Night, on August 19 in the Commercial Park, running from 7pm with music, shopping, promotions and raffles.

 

The month wraps up with a concert from the Gata Brass Band on August 20, and the family show Juguemos, performed by the Vale Hacer Lío company, on August 22, both taking place in Plaza Nueva.
