Another blast of heat hits the country: Spain weather forecast September 14-17
Temperatures will climb above 35°C in parts of Spain before cooler conditions reach the north

Spain is heading into another spell of unusually hot weather this week, with temperatures expected to climb well above normal for September in several parts of the country.
Monday September 14 and Tuesday September 15 are expected to be the hottest days, with particularly high temperatures in southern and central Spain. Some areas of Andalucia could reach around 38°C, with yellow heat warnings in parts of the region.
Across much of the country, Monday will be sunny or mostly clear, with the national forecast pointing to temperatures reaching the mid-30s in many inland areas. AEMET's forecast also indicates generally dry conditions, although some low cloud could develop along parts of the Mediterranean coast.
Monday September 14

The week gets off to a hot start, with temperatures particularly high across the south and inland areas. Parts of Andalucia could see highs of around 38°C, while much of the rest of Spain will also experience above-average temperatures.
Yellow alerts for extremely high temperatures have been activated in Andalucia, Asturias, Cantabria, Catalonia, Extremadura and Galicia.
Tuesday September 15

The heat will continue, with another very warm day expected across much of the country. Seville and surrounding areas could again reach 38°C, while temperatures will remain high elsewhere.
Yellow alerts for extremely high temperatures have been activated in Andalucia and Extremadura.
Wednesday September 16

A change begins to arrive from the north, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures in northern parts of Spain. The weather will remain warm and mostly settled further south, however.
Thursday September 17

By Thursday, temperatures will have eased further in the north, while much of southern and eastern Spain will remain warm and sunny. The overall picture is still one of settled weather, although conditions will be cooler than at the start of the week.
The national forecast points to a gradual move away from the intense heat, but September is certainly not looking ready to give up its summer feel just yet.
