Andalucía follows the very hot inland weather earlier in the week with a more settled and slightly more comfortable spell, as temperatures ease a few degrees and stay pleasantly warm. The coast will still feel milder at times, with a few cloudier intervals later on, but the main story is still strong sunshine but a calmer, more comfortable run of weather after the intense heat.

 

 

Partly cloudy skies are expected, with some mid and high cloud drifting in during the afternoon and low cloud or mist along the eastern Mediterranean coast early on. Temperatures rise sharply in parts of the coast, with Málaga and Tarifa under a yellow warning in the afternoon. Winds start light from the west but freshen later, becoming moderate to strong along the coast.

 

 

The Mediterranean side turns cooler, with low cloud and a few light showers possible from the eastern third to the coast, while elsewhere it stays largely dry and bright. Granada and Almería may notice the change most, as maximum temperatures ease back there, while Huelva and the Sierra Morena see a bit more warmth. Winds switch around, with moderate easterlies and stronger gusts in the southeast, while the rest of the region keeps lighter westerlies.

 

 

Partly cloudy skies continue in the east and along the Mediterranean coast, where a passing shower is still possible. Córdoba looks set to reach 34°C, making it the warmest spot, while temperatures dip a little along the coast. Jaén should stay mostly dry and sunny, and winds become lighter and more variable through the day.

 

 

Cloud builds again over the eastern mountains, with a few showers possible, while the Mediterranean coast keeps some low cloud to start the day. Temperatures rise once more, with Seville climbing to 35°C and many inland areas feeling properly hot. Cádiz should stay warmer too, although the easterly breeze may bring a bit of relief near the coast.

 

The heat is not going anywhere, but eastern areas will need to keep an eye on cloud and the odd shower as the weekend goes on.
