Skies are looking bright across Andalucía this week, with a pleasant blend of passing clouds, patchy mists and longer spells of sunshine. After a stretch of summer heat, temperatures are beginning to settle, and while the wind may pick up at times, especially along the coast, most of the region should enjoy comfortable, late-summer weather. There are chances for occasional showers but nothing out of the ordinary for early September.

 

Expect intervals of medium and high cloud drifting over places like Cádiz and Granada, with low clouds and early mists likely along the Mediterranean coast and around Tarifa. Temperatures will be slightly lower, or much the same as the weekend, and winds will stay light and changeable at first, turning westerly and sometimes moderate by the afternoon, especially along the coast from midday.

 

Bands of cloud will continue to work their way across Andalucía, including areas like Jaén and Almería. There’s a chance of a shower or two, especially in the eastern half. Temperatures will be generally cooler across the board, with some spots feeling quite a bit fresher. The westerly winds will be more noticeable, with moderate breezes along many coastal areas and potentially stronger gusts by the Mediterranean coast and in the Strait.

 

Wednesday brings partly cloudy skies, with more settled sunshine for parts of Córdoba and Huelva. Morning cloud may linger for a while in the Sierra Morena before clearing up. Minimum temperatures will rise slightly in the west, with the rest of Andalucía experiencing stable or cooler conditions. Westerly winds remain light to moderate, with sea breezes continuing for coastal towns like Málaga and occasional strong gusts along the Med.

 

The week rounds out with clear or mostly clear conditions for much of the region, especially over Seville and Málaga. A return to rising temperatures will be felt, making it a great day for outdoor plans. Winds will be light and variable, providing pleasant weather across Andalucía.

 

It’s a week of more moderate temperatures, patchy breezes and increasing sunshine. With only the odd shower on the horizon, it’s a fine time to be out and about enjoying early September in southern Spain.
