64-year-old injured after bombona gas canister explodes in Costa del Sol town
The man was taken to the Hospital de la Axarquía with burns on his body

A man has been injured when a fire broke out in a house in Vélez-Málaga (Málaga), according to the 112 Emergency Services in Andalucía.
Several witnesses called 112 at around 10.30am to report a fire in a house in Avenida de Las Naciones, indicating that there was a lot of smoke and that there could be people injured.
Health and fire brigade sources confirmed to 112 that a 64-year-old man had suffered burns and been taken to the Hospital de la Axarquía.
Firefighters explained that all signs point to the source of the fire being an exploding butane cylinder or ‘bombona’, which are frequently used in Spanish homes as an energy source, especially in older houses.
